Product ID: RI-0059 Date Of Manufacture: 2001 Product Details: Insertion Tact Time:
4-speed switchover: 0.29, 0.36, 0.45 or 0.6 s/component
*1 Strokes at a speed of 0.29 s XY table: Max. 30 mm, Z axis: Max. 1 component feeder
*2 Insertion speed of 0.29 sec. is effective in inserting regularly taped components. (When there are the missing components, the insertion tact may vary.)
Applicable Components:
JIS C0805 (1989) standard taped components See page 13 for the detailed dimensions and shapes.
Component Packaging Taped components (pack type, reel type)
* The maximum heights of packs are 330 mm for the upper stage of the component supply unit and 360 mm for the lower one. Reels can be used for the lower stage of the component supply unit only. (Attachment jigs and reel shafts are necessary.)
PCB Replacement Time:
M size: Approx. 2.5 s
LL size: Approx. 3.5 s
* loading time only Including table return and transfer times: Approx. 1.5 to 3.0 sec. longer
Dimensions:
Min 150 80 mm to Max. 330 250 mm
Min. 50 50 mm to Max. 508 381 mm
Insertion area
Min. 150 70 mm to Max. 330 240 mm
Min. 50 40 mm to Max. 508 371 mm
Applicable PCB:
Thickness 1.6 0.15 mm (Standard)
* 1: PC boards with thickness between 0.8 mm and 2.0 mm are available. As the transfer rails need to be exchanged (option) for PC boards with nonstandard thickness, please contact us.
* 2: There may be variations in insertion lead clinch angle and lead wire length, and PCB transfer trouble depending on the PCB shape and insertion hole shape despite the standard PCB thickness. We recommend that you should make an evaluation by use of an actual PCB in advance.
Direction of PCB flow Right to left (Standard), Left to right (Option)
Insertion Hole Pitch
2.5 mm, 5.0 mm or 2.54 mm, 5.08 mm
Insertion Direction
2 directions: 0, 90 (Standard)
4 directions: 0, 90, 180, 270 (Option)
* An insertion using the optional 4-direction insertion unit takes approx. 1.2 seconds longer.
No. of Component Inputs
80 inputs

Online data input/output with RS-232C (C0 and C1 commands)
Control System:
Panadac 791 microcomputer system AC servomotor driven semi-closed loop system
Programming Method:
XY axis: Absolute coordinate command (Incremental coordinate command is also available.) Z axis:
(Feeder carriage) Feeder position number command
XY Table Movement Increment:
0.01 mm/pulse
Control Mode:
Full-auto, semi-auto, manual, online
No. of NC Programs:
Max. 2,000 steps Max. 32 programs
Recovery Method:
Capable of the switching between auto and manual
When the auto recovery function is being selected, this machine checks the insertion hole when an
insertion error occurs, and automatically executes re-insertion only when it judges re-insertion possible.
Signal Tower:
3-color signal tower (from the top: yellow, white, green)
Hole Position Offset Method:
Calculates the optimum insertion position from the results of all-hole (2 or 3 holes)
position recognition and offsets the hole position. The insertion tact time
varies according to the recognition method used for hole position offset.
This function displays the status of the machine when the power is turned on and when trouble
occurs on the color LCD. Also displays the solutions to the trouble.
Others: Program Functions
(1) Multi-origin
(2) Alternate component supply
(3) Replacement
(4) Step & repeat
(5) Pattern repeat
Tape Cut Waste Disposal The blower vacuums scraps of tape and collects them in the dust box.
